Where Is Mediation Mandatory?

In Ontario mediation is mandatory for civil claims over $25,000 in Windsor, Toronto and Ottawa. In Windsor and Ottawa litigants are required to mediate prior to trial. In Toronto the court will not schedule a court date until mediation has taken place.
